Read the relevant files before writing code; ask if context is missing.
Keep answers short: no preamble, no closing recap.
Edit only what's needed; don't rewrite whole files or tidy code unrelated to the change.
Verify before calling something done: build, run the tests or try the change.
Keep solutions simple: no abstractions, validation or helpers nobody asked for.
Add or update tests with every behavior change.
Don't commit or push unless asked; keep commits small with clear messages.
Never commit secrets or .env files; use environment variables.
Comment only when the why isn't obvious.
Run tool calls in parallel when they don't depend on each other.
